Classic and Contemporary Grooming for the Gentlemen of America, The Spot Barbershop® will have 100 Locations by 2023. It’s already making a name for itself in Ft. Lauderdale and throughout the Miami area.

Voted #1 Barbershop by Miami locals, The Spot Barbershop® has made great strides towards revolutionizing and leading the grooming industry in the Miami market. Nearing 20 years since its establishment, The Spot announced its commitment to open 14 locations in 2021, one in every major city by 2022, and totaling 100 locations by 2023. While facing the adversity of a global pandemic, The Spot has been able to thrive, proudly sustaining, solidifying and expanding its legacy into an ever-growing lifestyle brand, which will generate an estimate of 2000 jobs.

“Our goal is to be the Starbucks of barbershops” says CEO, Ricky Patel. They are certainly on track.

The Spot’s 2021 expansion plan includes 14 new shops along the East Coast of the U.S. The first locations in Charlotte, North Carolina and Soho, NYC will feature styles resembling that of a speakeasy – an exclusive 2,400 sqft. two-story shop with a private cellar directly beneath it. This will be transformed into a private lounge and club for members to congregate while enjoying premium spirits. In January/February, new locations will arise in Pembroke Pines and Coconut Grove in South Florida, with Orlando (5) and Tampa (5) following shortly thereafter in April/May.

Designed to be a true gentleman’s experience and a hideaway from every man’s day-to-day hustle, the founders spare no expense in creating their deluxe yet rustic aesthetic, from refurbishing vintage pieces to repurposing recycled tires. Comprising a team of award-winning barbers and an interior designer, The Spot boasts the knowledge, experience and background necessary to build the most unique barbershops in America.

Clients find themselves chilling out for hours, and we don’t blame them! Each location consists of carefully selected and globally sourced recycled barber chairs to ensure true authenticity and ultimate comfort, laptop/phone charge stations, library full of contemporary books, full bar of top-of-the-line spirits, surround sound music, TV screens and more — making it The Ultimate Man Cave.

Today, over 120 certified barbers, including over a dozen female barbers, are grooming the gentleman of Miami in style and comfort. From hip haircuts, to straight razor shaves, to the signature Executive Package — a 1-hour experience that includes a haircut, custom hot towel shave, ears and nose wax, a black mask, and a highly-anticipated shoulder massage.

Soon they will be grooming the gentleman of the world, as The Spots plans are paramount, to build a global presence. “When you love something and love what you do, the obstacles don’t matter,” says Founder Fredis Perdomo.

Meet the Founders: Fredis and Juan Carlos Perdomo
Fredis sparked his passion for cutting hair at just 14 years old, picking up a cutting machine for the first time to give his friend a haircut. A week later, his friend came back for more and even brought along another eager customer, thus his business was born. Just five short years later, Fredis teamed up with his brother Juan Carlos, who mentored and supported his barber business. True examples of the “American Dream,” Fredis and Juan Carlos opened their first location in Little Havana and have since expanded their business into an ever-growing lifestyle brand.
